DVR Playback is Cropped

Over the last month, when I have recorded sports games (basketball and football), the playback is not full screen.  The playback is cropped and I cannot get it to resolve.  The aspect ratio is grayed out on my TV settings, however, all other recordings that are not sports, play back full screen.

user_f0v8ln how are you? Are the recordings cropped on every single device you watch them on? I will always recommend making sure your DVR is reset and updated before testing a new recording. If you can provide more details, such as the make and model number of your X1 DVR we can assist you further. Sometimes it may be time to upgrade the box as well.

 I have the exact same issue. In Addition to being cropped the recordings are poor quality.

I don't have a DVR - just an xfinity account with cloud DVR.

Pretty much makes the recordings worthless!

DenverCheese Are you creating the recordings from a cable box or the Xfinity Stream app? Are the games being recorded from the same channels or different?

Yes I have the same issue…. It’s on sports recordings. Also the picture is not as sharp as live TV….. very  annoying
