Error tvapp-00209 after changing channel lineup
Recently had to make changes due to promotional ricing ended on my account. After the change, the xFinity Stram app on my ipad no longer functions properly. the app opens, but when I click on ANY channel I get error tvapp-00209. Here are the steps I have done so far:
1. restarted the ipad
2. restarted the gateway
3. restarted x1 cable box
4. uninstalled and reinstalled the xfinity stream app on the ipad.
None of those steps has resolved the issue.
How do I get the app to work as it did before the changes to my plans?
Thanks!

NoNoBadPuppy Hmm, that is strange. Have you attempted to run a system of things?

Thanks for the response. That didn't work. I spent about two hours on the phone with support, had them do multiple things, but was unable to resolve the issue. Have a supervisor technician appointment on 10/10. Hopefull will find some resolution when he/she arrives. After the system changes, my WAN IP address is now 'located' in Detroit. I live on the other side of the state, which is nearly 200 miles from my location. I think that may be the issue, and my IP does not match my home address.

Had tech visit today, with no resolution. X1 Cable box will not refresh, and checking status on the x1 says outage in my area, all services, even though they are all working. Still cannot use xfinity stream on my ipad. There is scheduled maintenance on the 12th in my area, and the tech and his supervisor both claim that the maintenance will fix the issues. The tech verified my signals are all as they should be. On the stream app, I can not stream any broadcast channel, but the TV Go and internet channels stream fine. Tech ran full diagnostics on the X1 box, and it passed all test, hardware, software and connectivity. The supervisor mentioned that there are 'many' who are experiencing the same issue. It appears to be a problem on their back end, but no one as yet can figure it out. I am hoping that they fix the problem with the maintenance, but if I wake up on the 13th and the issue persists, I will call them back and ask for escalation, and will post back if that turns out to be the case.

Well, the scheduled maintenance occurred last night, and nothing has changed. I have uninstalled the xfinity stream app, shut down the ipad to clear the cache and remove any remnants of the app, turned on the ipad, reinstalled the app, and the issue still exists. Where to go from here?

DM has been sent. Given all the posts about folks having issues with Stream, I hope someone within your company can discover what is causing so many problems and fix it. It is clear that the issue is not on the subscriber side, but is a systemic problem with the stream ecosystem. The error states an issue with access to the content access management system. Has anyone bothered to investigate that end?

No solution so far. I have had supervisor technician visits, spent hours online and on the phone, been escalated, worked with advanced technical support, etc. The last thing I was told is that they are 'investigating' and to wait until they can figure out the problem. Looks like we will not have any resolution any time soon. The number of subscribers that are having this issue is very large.

I keep getting emails asking me to select a 'best answer', but no such best answer has been given, as the issue is still ongoing. I am working with agents over Direct Messaging, and have no resolution on that side as well. I would like for this thread to remain open/active until such time as a solution is found, so that the fix can be shared with all in the community.

This morning, while I was out of the house, I received a recorded call from xfinity stating that the issue that I was having has been resolved. When I got home, I uninstalled the xfinity stream app from my ipad, restarted the ipad to clear the cache, reinstalled the app, and it is now allowing me to see the channels I could not see before. I get emails asking me to select a best answer here, but I can't, as no answer that I have been given has been a good answer. I would like to know what the issue was, and how it was corrected. After two weeks of technician visits, multiple hours over multiple days online and on the phone with tech support, advanced tech support, hours spent installing, uninstalling the app, rebooting all hardware dozens of times, and the sheer frustration of two weeks of not getting any results, I think an explanation of what the issue was and how it was resolved is appropriate. I have a background in IT, although I am now retired, I worked for one of the largest hospital chains in the country, and I am able to understand a technical explanation. I will not accept any answer here to close this thread until someone explains what the issue was and how it was fixed. Thank you,
