FireTV Stick 4K MAX and Xfinity stream app favorites

I have installed a FireTV Stick 4K MAX and downloaded the Xfinity stream app to a Samsung smart tv.  The instructions you give for adding and deleting favorites do not work.  Please give me updated instructions for use with my Firestick.  Thank you.

How to set favorite channels on Xfinity Stream app on Firestick?
Add a Channel to Favorites:
Press the left arrow button on the remote to highlight the channel and press OK. Use the right arrow button to highlight Favorite. Press OK on the remote to add the channel as a Favorite. To remove the channel as a Favorite, repeat these steps and choose Remove Favorite instead of Favorite.
Can you give rthis a try and let us know if it worked for you?

This is NOT true, when you press right arrow, you get mini menu, NOT favorites

Can you please update this question?  I am using a Firestick.  There is no right arrow other than the rewind button and the OK button would be the middle button which only selects the station.  This is so frustrating!!

Maybe it would help to let us know what remote you are currently using.

Did your remote come with directions? If not, can you find them on-line?

yes, I have them.  they only cover the set-up though.  on the remote, there is only rewind and fast-forward arrow buttons.  it would seem that you would just press the left or right side of the large round button but that does not operate like the Xfinity directions say it should.

Sometimes you can find better directions on-line.

@user_79ecc6 Hi! I appreciate you trying some steps to resolve it. It sounds like the control buttons simply do not work as they should and we can look at putting in a ticket. Sometimes these issues can be a conflict between the Firestick software and our app and might need to get the Firestick team involved, but let's see what we can do. Can you direct message your name and address? Can you also confirm the Stream app version? If you hit the gear icon in the bottom of the menu and then scroll down to "about" it will tell you.

Make sure you are signed in to forums

1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon(direct message) near the bell icon.

2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)

4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!
