Is there a way to only record unwatched episodes of a series?

I like recording shows with the option "New and Repeat" so I can catch up on past episodes. However, is there a way to tell it to not RErecord episodes I've already watched? I'd love an option to record New and Repeats that are not already marked as watched. I'd also love a way to mark an episode as watched so that it won't record again.

@DeanHome Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us here on our Community Forum. We would recommend going here (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-record-a-series), go to step 5. That is where you'll see:

You can also choose your recording options by selecting All episodes:
Record: Record only new episodes or record new and repeat episodes.
Channels: Set your HD or SD channel preference.
Save: Save until space is needed or for one year.
Keep: Keep all episodes or keep multiple episodes.
Start: Start on time or start one or two minutes early.
S Saved > Scheduled then select the recording. Choose Record Options, Modify and then All Episodes.

Hope this helps!

Sadly it didn't answer my question, just told me what I already knew. Perhaps you could submit an enhancement request so that this change could be implemented in the future?

Hilariously I get a 404 error when going to that link :) I know, it's because it thinks the exclamation point is part of the link so I can remove that and go to that page but it still makes me laugh :)

Hey there, user_fsvlvj, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding our recording options. Currently, we only have the option to record new episodes or record new and repeat episodes. There is no way to only record episodes you have not seen. I really appreciate this feedback, and we are always looking for ways to improve the customer experience. I will make sure this feedback is submitted. Let us know if you need anything else.
