Landman on Paramount Plus

I have Paramount Plus thru my Xfinity X1 Premier Pro package. I can access the app and have watched shows such as “Lioness”. However, the show “Landman” does not show up on the app. How do I access “Landman”?

Also as a follow up the Paramount Plus app only works on my iPad on Xfinity Stream. On our TV, the Paramount Plus app requests sign in and asks to pay for subscription. How do we get the Paramount Plus app on the TV to recognize that we already subscribe thru Xfinity????

user_017c1c Thank you so much for your post for help with how to watch the show, Landman. It looks like the shows are both through Paramount but Loiness is paired with Showtime. If you are using one of our X1 boxes what happens when you try to launch Paramount + by saying Paramount + into your voice remote?

Same problem here. When we select Landman to watch, the software takes us out of Xfinity, into the third-party app (Paramount+) and requests that we subscribe (additionally) through the app. When I subscribed to the xfinity package I have (Ultimate??) I was told that there would be access to Paramount+ since you own it.

Same problem here. Xfinity chat idiot says you only get the Paramount+ TV channels, they are not a streaming service. I see there is zero response from Xfinity here.

Thank you for reaching out to us @user_m8td2c! The Paramount + app is a separate subscription that is not linked to the Paramount + with Showtime channels. Access to Paramount + with Showtime through the cable channel lineup will provide access to the live channels and the On Demand content linked to those channels. Some On Demand content provided by Paramount + will require an additional subscription to their Paramount + app.

@user_82bvoz Correct, you will have access to Showtime content but not Paramount +. Some On Demand content provided by Paramount + will require an additional subscription to their Paramount + app.

I don't have a contact number for Paramount+, but I'd be happy to help you on the Xfinity side. Encountered the problem again with Showtime’s “The Agency” program. I’ve worked around the access problem by cancelling my “paramount+ and showtime” add-on with xfinity and resubscribed directly through the Paramount+ app.

So, when you canceled the paramount + and showtime with xfinity, do you now pay for it $7.99 I believe per month separately? I have Netflix and pay $18 a month separately from my xfinity bill. But can still access it on both my TV 's. That may be a great solution, as xfinity is a real PITA . Chat function sucks then you tell them you want a representative,  and they make you start all over with someone in India. They tried to sell me a phi e plan whilst I was trying to get my paramount + that I pay for to launch Tulsa king and landman. If what the one xfinity employee is saying, that it's only "live" paramount plus, that's total BS.

I have a Paramount+ subscription outside of Xfinity. I had been able to go thru Xfinity to access Paramount+. As of today, when I access the app, it keeps asking me to authenticate. ‘link your account to Xfinity”.  I have tried multiple options but none of them work.  I can still access Paramount everywhere except thru Xfinity… what changed that paramount no longer works within Xfinity?

This is a complete and utter scam.  I pay xfinity about $350/month and understood that I had access to Showtime with Paramount+.  I had to waste countless hours with the incredibly UNhelpful "assistant" on xfinity and finally got routed to live agents (10+ of them) before i was FINALLY (by the last agent, i was many hours in at this point) told that I only get Paramount+ tv and that the app is a separate subscription (which is an additional $7.99/mo).  How does xfinity justify misleading its customers like this?  I really can't believe the false advertising and the runaround I've gotten here.

This is a rather new issue.  Using Comcast with Paramount+ Showtime I was able to Dvr and watch the first two episodes of Landman.  They are still on my DVR but when I try to watch them again I am asked to subscribe.  And I can’t dvr or watch on demand episides after 1-2.  Likewise if I use on demand or speaking into my remote - I am asked to set up a new account.  I can still watch and DVR Lioness, Agency and Dexter.  All on the Paramount + Showtime.  Why the issue with only Landman?  We are all paying for it and having the same issue.  Answers please?

I did contact Paramount on this issue because Comcast said they couldn’t help.  Paramount said I needed to buy their streaming service and drop Paramount from my Comcast package.  Or call Comcast for help.

Thank you for reaching out to us @user_44svcx! At this time, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME (previously named SHOWTIME) is a premium subscription to the live channels on X1. This also provides access to Paramount + with SHOWTIME On Demand content. Access to the Paramount + app and content exclusively available through Paramount + is a separate service provided by Paramount+.

 

Paramount + does have a tier of service for their app also named Paramount+ with SHOWTIME which can cause some confusion. Additionally, our On Demand library may show content available through the app and content included with the subscription to the live channels.

 

At this time, Paramount + requires two separate subscriptions to access Paramount + with SHOWTIME channels and the Paramount + app.

It is very misleading to advertise shows that can’t be fully watched on xfinity without paying an additional charge.   Xfinity should carry ALL of paramount plus or Not offer Paramount+ with Showtime.  Customers are being asked to pay two separate fees for nearly the same content.  Its ridiculous.
