My Xfinity stream does not match my X1 dvr

My Xfinity Stream recordings do not match my X1 recordings. They used to matchh but do not now for some reason.  Stream seems to have much less, perhaps only the most recent ones.  I've checked on the app and on the website.  I use the app to watch recordings away from home or in bed. How can I get them to match again?  I did change my cable package somewhat recently and it may have coincided with that but nothing was mentioned about Xfinity Stream's DVR changing.  What can I do to get these to match again?

Hi there@stephenphl. I am sorry to hear that your recordings are not matching. Have you tried to log out of the Xfinity Stream App and log back in?

Hi Roberto, Thanks for your reply...

I had not tried that but just did and still face the same issue.  The last recording on the Stream app is Chicago Med from 9/25 but on my X1 device there's a Sunday Today from 9/15.  Another interesting thing different is there are 15 episodes of Star Trek Deep Space 9 on my X1 but only 1 episode on Xfinity Stream. (There are several more examples of this series recordings being very different.)

These DVR lineups used to be the same (or I certainly never had this much different that I noticed it.)  Do you have any other suggestions?  Thanks!

I just noticed there’s a total recordings on X1.. 255 recordings there. On Stream there’s 21.

@stephenphl  Oh wow, got it, and thanks for explaining. As well for following up. We appreciate it and the chance to assist. We're a great community to rely on, just like the Xfinity app. It is great for recording content and watching it later on the go. Let's be sure you have the latest version and use it to record what you want to see while traveling. I found the links for getting it from the app or play stores here https://www.xfinity.com/get-stream. Uninstall the Xfinity Stream app from your device, reboot it, and then download it. Test that you can record something, and watch it from the Stream app, and at home too. The Xfinity Stream app is how I watch most of my content, the kids take over the TV's, so I am glad to have it on my phone. That helps me keep up with sports.

Benny,

I've done the following on my iPad:

  • Deleted Xfinity Stream
  • Rebooted
  • Installed Xfinity Stream -
    • At this point worth mentioning that there's no observable change in my recordings vs. my X1 TV device. Still roughly the same number of recordings mentioned above (200+ vs 20)
  • At around 6:25am...
    • Set recording from Xfinity Stream iPad App of 6:30am Modern Family
    • Set recording from X1 DVR of 6:30am Reba
  • At around 6:45am I can see both recordings in both places - but where are all of my other X1 recordings in Stream? I feel like if I check back in a week I'm going to be right where I am now because I've recorded things from Stream and found them in X1 somewhat recently - that was not an issue.

Thanks Benny!

@stephenphl I appreciate you keeping us posted so we can continue helping with the recordings available through the Xfinity Stream app. The app will store the most recent 60 hours of recordings, unless you've marked recordings as "Save for 1 Year". Does this seem to line up with what you're seeing?
