Pausing streaming TV

Not being able to pause streaming TV makes Xfinity look like a 1980s platform. Even in the late 90s I was able to pause TV on Dish Network. I’m not aware of a streaming platform today that does not allow for pausing.

@Kims23 Thank you for reaching out about this issue you are having pausing your program. I would be happy to troubleshoot this with you. To get started, I need to take a look at your account details. To get started, please send your name and service address to "Xfinity Support." You can do this by using the Direct Messaging icon at the top of the page.

@XfinityChristy Thank you for responding.  When I copy and paste your username with or without that "@" sign the auto complete\ search box says no results found.

In my previous post, I showed the chat screen and was not able to find you.  In this post, I will type "xfinitychrist" you use name without the y to show that autocomplete\confirm does not find you.  Hence I cannot send you a Direct Message.  Please see below.

I know that this can seem to be a bit confusing, @Kims23.

You will need to make sure, you sign in before being able to send a Direct Message.

To send a "Direct Message" message:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message" icon
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it

I no longer work for Comcast.

Pausing and rewind require buffering the video on the device. Many devices do not have much memory available for more than just the typical streaming buffering.
