I receive this error when trying to playback a recorded DVR via the Xfinity app on my PC. Can I get some assistance?

Hello, @kotto! Thanks for taking the time to visit our community forum and for posting your DVR recording playback error. You've come to a great place for support! Our team is awesome to work with because we'll do everything we can to review and resolve issues as quickly as possible. And it sounds like you were attempting to stream a recording through the Xfinity Stream Portal, correct? May I ask what troubleshooting you've tried so far (i.e. logging out, clearing the web browser's cache and cookies, using incognito mode, etc.)?

I am using Firefox browser which is up to date. MY OS is Linux on a desktop. I tried logging out and logging in, clearing the web browser's cache and cookies. I also used the private window view in Firefox, and its also a no-go. What other suggestions or fixes do you have?

kotto, Great question. Are you able to see if you experience the same issue on another device?

I tried a Windows 10 laptop, and it worked fine. I also tried an Android tablet, and it worked. Does this mean that streaming will not work on a Linux distribution platform?

Thanks for narrowing that down for us , That sounds like that i's a specific issue with the device and or browser you're using.

 

You can also try clearing your caches and cookies
