Roku Xfinity app

I’ve been using Roku Xfinity app to stream off my xTV connect to my Xfinity modem for years. Suddenly today I get error TVAPP-00231 for every channel I try. It loads app, loads favorite channels, but whenever I select Watch this is error I got. I have done the following already to troubleshoot:

1) unplugged and rebooted Tv after waiting 5 min

2) deleted Roku Xfinity app and re installed

3) re authenticated Xfinity Roku app

Still get error.

I think there maybe an outage issue with the Xfinity Stream app(s). My Hisense Roku TV, Samsung TV with Roku device, or Amazon Fire Stick with Xfinity Stream app are giving (Error 500). Also the app on my phone and tablet are all not working since Friday night.


At first I thought it was an issue with the Hisense Roku TV but then I remember the app didn't work on my other Samsung TV using Roku device last night, Friday. Even the xfinity.com/stream/ site gives error (Error TVAPP-00100) on multiple different browsers.

Weird... so so weird Xfinity Stream app issues...

After I posted my reply to this issue I was having with the Xfinity Stream app on multiple devices, everything just magically started working after login into this site with my secondary Comcast email account to make this post.

I didn't do anything else other than just click on the Roku Xfinity Stream app on all 3 TV's now work and the mobile app on phone and tablet work now. It's almost as if my account was locked out, and by signing into this site to make this post, that in a way unlocked my account and now the streaming is working on all the devices now. I don't know how else to explain it how everything just started to work again.

Thank you for sharing this error code with us and for sharing the steps you have taken to attempt a resolution. Your efforts do not go unnoticed. Have you tried a simple restart of your internet modem? If not, can you please attempt that step and let us know if it helps.
