sound issues with streaming amazon prime

Several times yesterday while watching the NFL playoff game on Amazon Prime, the sound dropped out.  I had to exit out and bring the app back up.  Annoying to say the least.  What is causing this?

No, but during the playoff, the sound stopped entirely and didn't come back on so I exited each time it happened and then relaunched the app.  However, occasionally (twice just this past week), shows I have recorded off cable have several spots in them when the picture becomes pixelated and the sound goes out at the same time.  It usually lasts for up to 5 seconds but then synchs back up for the rest of the recording.  Is this part of the same problem?

We appreciate your help so we can get to the bottom of this, @user_of67iu. Those may be related, if there is an underlying problem with the internet service. If you are on the same network between the Xfinity Stream website and your TV box, it could be a network problem or signal problem to the network. Are you noticing any pauses, buffering, or slow speed on any of your devices as you use the internet service?

Not sure I completely understand your question, but I believe I'm on the same network (the cable coming into my house) for the Xfinity stream website and my TV box.  From time to time when I'm on my laptop, there are pauses/slow speed on some websites but I've always assumed it was the web site.  That said, from time to time, outlook on my laptop also seems slow to load new email.
