Stream app not displaying local Boston Channels 4, 5, 10

The stream app has been inconsistent at best for the past year not showing local channels 4 WBZ, 5 WCVB, 10 NECN.  I’ve had to consistently clear the cache, sign out and sign in and reinstall the app in order for these channels to show up. But today non of those actions results in the local channels showing in the channel guide. Only pages of MLS on APPLE  and pages of streaming. How do I get my local Boston channels so I can watch them live.

user_bgkinf Good morning! Thank you for creating the post and for reaching out to our community for some help with the reoccurring issue of missing channels on the Xfinity app. I'm sorry that the Xfinity stream app has been causing so many issues for you for all this time. The stream app is the only way my family watches TV so I know how vital is it for it to work correctly. With the channels missing it would seem like a service entitlement issue, but when they retrun after your normal troubleshooting steps, it's the app that is not functioning. Are you using a firestick with the service? Do you have any X1 cable boxes in your home as well?

Hello,

We are using an Amazon Fire stick and downloaded the stream app. Up until now, we were able to get the local channels to appear in the app by clearing the cache and logging back in, or by removing the app and downloading again. Buy now those processes don’t work and the local channels are missing. Even in the app on my iPhone. No local channels. We have no x1 boxes. Any help would be her appreciated.

user_bgkinf Thank you for those details and for checking the iphone as well, that is exactly where my mind was going to see if it is specific to the fire stick. We have Rokus at home, but travel with the fire stick, so I haven't been able to test that specific device recently. With it impacting the iphone as well, I'm back to an entitlement issue which means I need to access your account to see what is causing the trouble. I think it's safe to assume you are signing in to the app with the same credentials as you typically would, so let's see why our services are not flowing through as they should.
Can you please send us a direct message with your name, service address, and the email address you use when accessing the app?

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

Okay,

I sent that information in a DM.  Hoping to get things set up correctly.
