Stream latest update 8.12.0.2516 -> Error 0

Since I updated Xfinity Stream (to 8.12.0.2516) on 10/6, it shows the following screen when trying to stream any show:

We're Having Some Trouble :: 0
We're sorry, something unexpected just happened.  Please try again.

Error 0

Yes, I've "tried again" (many times).
Yes, I've exited and restarted the app (many times).
Yes, I've completely powered down the tablet, rebooted, and restarted the app (several times).
Yes, I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled the app (twice).

Nothing helped.

Lenovo Tab P11 (model TB-J606F).
I connect with home WiFi only - no data connection.
No other apps on this tablet have problems.
I also have an older Samsung tablet, which has not updated to this version, and Stream works fine on this one.

I understand now why the Xfinity Stream app has a rating of 3.2.  Comcast - please read the reviews.

Hello schpliz thank you so much for taking the time to reach us here via our Xfinity Forums! It sounds like the issue on the Xfinity Stream App is only affecting the Lenovo Tab P11 (model TB-J606F) Is the tablet itself on it's most recent update? And you mentioned this only happens with "shows" does the same happen with any other on demand content like movies or sports?

As you can imagine, I'm not thrilled with paying Xfinity/Comcast for incomplete service.
(The Samsung tablet that works is used for other purposes and I only "borrowed" it to test old version of Stream.)
So, I can't stream to my tablet until Xfinity finds and fixes this problem and pushes out a new release (? months).
In their infinite wisdom, Xfinity offers no capability to downgrade this app.
This error message [Edited: Language].  "Please try again." ?? Really ??

To answer your questions:
Lenovo tablet OS is up-to-date.  Everything on it works except Xfinity Stream.  Can see all menus and recorded shows play.
Rented shows, on-demand, and live TV error out.
