technical support

Why does Xfinity not have a dedicated technical support group? I have been having issues with my service for 3 weeks now. Buffering problems mostly. I upgraded to 300mbps and added the Now connect app. The Now connect app has been a total nightmare trying to get it to initialize to my devices. I have been on the phone at least 6 hours with "customer service" which has no technical knowledge at all. I finally was able to talk with a supervisor who told me that the "fix" he was initiating would take an hour and he would return my call. That was Sunday afternoon it is now Wednesday night and I still have not received a call back. Your so called customer service is only interested in upgrading or selling a new service.

Good afternoon, user_74ffc8! We have dedicated technical teams such as our engineers and technicians. We want your service working great and apologize it has been buffering. I need to clarify this a touch. Are you subscribed to our new NOW internet service or are you using our normal internet service?

Thank you for clarifying that this is our NOW internet service, user_74ffc8! This service works differently than the internet service from us you may have had in the past. Our NOW internet team is only available using the Xfinity Assistant Chat. They can help you further with any technical problems with the service. You will want to reach out to that team directly to fix this. They are the only ones that have access to your account.
