Tvapp 00500 error on Roku

Since we had to replace the xfinity modem the xfinity stream app for live tv has not been working and has error Tvapp 00500. Prior to the new xfinity modem was working fine. Anyone have a solution?

user_txbt3d The TVAPP-00500 error on Roku when using the Xfinity Stream app is a fairly common issue, and it usually points to a communication problem between your Roku device and Xfinity’s streaming service.

How to Fix It
1. Power Cycle Your Devices
Unplug your Roku device and modem/router for 30 seconds.
Plug them back in and wait for full reboot.
This simple step has resolved the issue for many users.
2. Sign Out and Back Into the Xfinity App
Open the Xfinity Stream app.
Go to Account > Sign Out.
Restart your Roku.
Sign back in with your Xfinity credentials.
3. Uninstall and Reinstall the Xfinity App.
Remove the app from Roku.
Restart the Roku device.
Reinstall the app from the Roku Channel Store.
4. Perform a System Refresh (if you have Xfinity TV service)
Use the Xfinity app or remote to run a System Refresh.
This re-syncs your devices with Xfinity’s servers.
