What is going on lately with Xfinity To Go??

Enough is enough already with “In home” nonsense with CBS, Fox and ABC. NBC works just fine and is just like the others.  Techs need to figure this out.  Sometimes I get the channels then other times it says “Need to be In-Home” which is nonsense because then why would NBC be available and I still get those sometime.

Eligible Xfinity TV customers who live in the markets can stream ABC, FOX, NBC, CBS broadcast affiliates while outside your home network. It also depends on the program you're attempting to watch.

Yes, we all understand this and there’s still no explanation as to why we only get NBC and then randomly get FOX CBS and ABC. Apparently nobody at XFINITY can fix the issue  on the To-Go package. 

**Note 

You shouldn’t need  “In-Home” WiFi to watch any of the Local Channels FOX,CBS,NBC and ABC

You're welcome, @user_gmpd5u. There are certain programs that aren't available while streaming. This may be the reason why you sometimes can't see some of these channels.

 

Do you know if you have the latest software update on the app? What device are you using when accessing the Stream app?

Can’t stream live tv at home even though pay cable bill.833 calls ahead of me to chat with agent. Internet works prime Netflix etc work. Just not xfinity stream. Deleted app and reinstalled. Do I need to go back to a cable box or just go to Sling tv. They figured it out.

I love our Stream app and rely on it a lot so I would be upset if I was in your shoes as well but rest assured our team is here to help. We'd be happy to run through some troubleshooting steps and if needed, get a ticket over to our dedicated and knowledgeable Advanced Repair Team for further investigation. I see that you stated you are not having issues with any other app or your internet and that you previously tried deleting and reinstalling the app. To better assist, can you tell me a bit more about the issues you are experiencing? For example. are you experiencing any error codes or messages? If so, is it affecting all channels or specific channels?

I’ve had the same issue since mid-summer; it is different than the ‘not available in my area’ issue which I understand and started noticing longer ago; over a year. ‘Not available in my area’ channels still show up in my lineup grid but if I select them I get ‘the message’. 
On the other hand, cbs, fox & abc are randomly intermittent in even being displayed in the lineup; that is sometimes they’re there to select & other times not. Sometimes it’s a whole week without them. Sometimes it’s a day to day thing.
Today when I woke, it was not available at 630am - 830 am, so I had to use Pluto TV where it was available and always is. Around 830 I checked Xfinity & they were available, which is in the middle of a one program; this contradicts the notion that availability correlates with programming. Also, this was not my experience yesterday when Said stations became available late afternoon.

I live in NYC & above said info is in Xfinity Stream on a Firestick. I have this set up on 2 TVs in my apt & am trying to see if the results are mirrored between the 2 devices or whether they have their own personalities. Just wanted to provide any info that may help, hope you all can work this out soon as it is frustrating. I sometimes can’t even watch Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune. Basic. …But for me the frustration is the nonsensical part of the issue; its random nature. Son of a glitch!!
