Xfinity app doesn't work with AppleTV and Roku TVs? This can't be.

I was told the Xfinity stream app isn't compatible with AppleTV and my 2 Roku TVs. This can't be correct.

When I download and attempt to sing into the app, I go to the xfinity.com/authenticate site, enter the code on the screen and then it says, "This package is not avaiable on this device".
How can a streaming app not be compatible with 2 of the largest streaming devices?

@user_7ak3wb You must have NOW TV?

Originally, they signed me up for Now TV but then changed me to Now StreamSaver.
This was all done yesterday. I signed up to try Xfinity streaming services to see if it's something I'd liek to switch to. But without being able to use the app on Apple TV and requiring a Xumo device, isn't really an option I'm satified with.

@user_7ak3wb I guess it just boils down to what "channels" you'll watch, and which apps used. If you look closer at what they include, over 80% you can already get free on Pluto, TUBI, or the XUMO app. Very little actual TV channels. That's why it's so cheap.

Hey there, user_7ak3wb, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding the Xfinity Stream app on your devices. Currently, LG TVs, Samsung Smart TVs, Apple TV, and Roku devices are not eligible to stream NOW TV content. Here is a link with the device requirement information, https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-tv-app-requirements. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the information.
THe only point of issue is that I was chatting with a Xfinity rep and I specifically told them that I have an Apple TV and I dont' want to have to get another streaming box. They still signed me up and then told me it should work within an hour because I told them after I signed up, the app wasn't working.
So, I feel mislead.

I apologize that happened as it shouldn't have,

user_7ak3wb. We should always be researching the information if we don't know offhand before giving you a difinitive answer. We are working to expand the available devices that work with NOW TV. I got word today that Roku is being added but haven't seen any information about Apple TV. We do support Apple TV with our other products so I am hopeful to see that added in the future for NOW TV.
