Xfinity steam app - We've got a location issue. Unfortunately, we can't play this video within this market.

I keep getting this message. This is new. Played before with no issues. How do I get rid of it.

Thanks for reaching out to us, to clarify are you trying to go to watch a certain channel that's not playing for you?

Are you connected to your home Wi-Fi or are you getting this message when you're not connected to your home Wi-Fi

Yes, trying to watch 803-CBS. I’m connected to my home WiFi. This never happened before. I went from xfinity cable w/stream to xumo (😩) to just xfinity stream with no box. I’m using my fire stick to access. On the tv that I’m getting this message on, I’ve only done xfinity stream. It was working fine before.

On another tv I can download the xfinity app to the Samsung tv apps. When I try to use the xfinity stream app using the fire stick like I’ve done in the past I get a message that the stream app needs updating when I go to Amazon it tells me I already have the app.

2 different issues but both are frustrating. Thanks for you help.

When checking the app store, is there an option or ellipses (three dots) to check for an update on the app?

@ECPerky Geolocation service is not provided, overseen, or affected by Xfinity. Website owners subscribe to geolocation services with different levels of accuracy, and you will need to contact the website’s support, or the geolocation services themselves to correct any issues. Many of these vendors will be able to correct your location listed on the site.

If your geolocation is configured incorrectly, you’ll need to contact either the website you’re experiencing issues on, or the geolocation services themselves. Below is a list of some common geolocation services and their contact information.

Google - support.google.com/websearch/contact/ip
MaxMind - maxmind.com/en/geoip-location-correction
Ip2location - ip2location.com/contact
Ipdata - ipdata.co/contact.html
