Xfinity Stream App video suddenly pausing/chopping

After working perfectly for over a year, my Xfinity stream app (through Roku device) suddenly became continuously choppy (video only).  This occurs only with the Xfinity stream App.  Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, etc all work fine with the 4K HDR 60 fps setting.  I have restarted the app, then removed and reinstalled but app with no luck.

If I change the video display on the Roku from the automatically selected  4K HDR 60 fps to 4k 60fps, the video becomes smooth again.    Any suggestions?  thanks

Howdy! Not all content is optimized for HDR, these variables in setting can cause hiccups and drop framing depending on the settings and specific content in general. Does this happen on a certain channel or network? I would advise not to attempt and up-res content that is not optimized for UHD or HDR, most content that is common broadcast content is geared for NTSC format, and the varied frame rates are tough for that device to interpret, I personally migrated to a different streaming unit due to the lack of functional frame rate pass through. Here is a discussion on the Roku forum to read over that will shed some light on this. An official Roku team member advises to manually adjust the settings for the specific content you are watching.
