Xfinity Stream of live TV has NOTORIOUSLY low quality video.

Xfinity Stream of live TV has NOTORIOUSLY low quality video. This has always been the case, for YEARS.

On top of that, Xfinity seems to be the ONLY major TV provider that does not allow MLB TV customers to watch in the MLB TV app during nationwide coverage, including all playoff games.

We pay Xfinity for high speed internet

We pay Xfinity for TV

We pay MLB for MLB TV

And I'm in-home, on my Xfinity internet, having paid three-times over for access to this content, and the streaming video quality looks like REALLY BAD 720p (probably actually 480p) and it still buffers.

I know Xfinity is aware of this "and looking into it" for YEARS.

I HATE Xfinity. If there was ANY other internet service available to my house I would leave Xfinity in a HEARTBEAT - I send quarterly requests to another ISP/TV provider begging them to run their service down my street.

I can simultaneously run four 4k YouTube videos on the same system, no quality loss, and no buffering, but you intentionally provide the worst possible stream (and label the channel "HD")

Non-live streaming isn't much better, it looks like mid-quality 720p when it says it is "HD"

Oh, and can you chat online with an agent? NO.

This is what passes for "HD" for Xfinity Stream:

The commercials though, those come in loud and clear, probably mid-quality 1080p:

Hey @user_bb8uip . Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We would be more than happy to assist in troubleshooting the Xfinity Stream picture quality issues you may be experiencing. Would you be able to provide us with some additional information such as device you are streaming on, operating system version, connection type (Ethernet or WiFi), and if you experience issues on other channels/stream? We hope to hear from you soon.

You know very well that there is nothing to troubleshoot. This is just the quality of the product that you provide. There are hundreds of threads complaining about this problem.

I have a high-end gaming PC, Windows 11, gigabit ethernet, and I have NO trouble streaming at top quality from Netflix, YouTube, Apple TV, MLB TV, etc.

Your Xfinity Stream quality is garbage, it has been for years, and it is particularly frustrating that I cannot utilize my MLB TV subscription for nationally televised games because Xfinity is the only service provider that doesn't deal with MLB.

As previously stated, I feel that I am already paying for this content 3 times over, and to watch it in high definition I would have to pay another $144/year to rent a second cable box from Xfinity, all because you lock your customers out of MLB TV and provide unacceptable streaming quality, after I'm already paying Xfinity $256.91/mo for "superfast" internet and "ultimate" TV and that isn't even including the MLB TV subscription.

This 100% depends upon the streaming service that Xfinity provides, your answer isn't just unacceptable but actually INSULTING that you want to "troubleshoot" my end when you VERY WELL KNOW that it is an Xfinity quality problem that you as a "customer service" bot have no power to improve, and Xfinity has no intention to improve.

See any glaring omissions here? Xfinity. Only Xfinity.

Hey @user_bb8uip, I would recommend following the steps provided by visiting our 'What's Major League Baseball (MLB) Extra Innings?' support page to see if it can help provide any direction. We would like to troubleshoot as I personally experience no issues when streaming online using my PC or mobile device. If you would like to troubleshoot, please let us know. We are always available and happy to help.

Seems that bots like you have a hard time following conversations.

I'd love to troubleshoot why you are absolutely not "happy to help," as evidenced by your lack of help. Your pre-programmed cut-and-paste responses apparently don't include any ability to admit that the Xfinity streaming service is TERRIBLE and Xfinity has no intention to do anything to improve it.

Here is what you can do for me, either:

1. Find someone qualified to admit that the Xfinity streaming service is TERRIBLE and Xfinity has no intention to do anything to improve it.

2. Provide the actual HD streaming that I am paying for.

I definitely want to make sure you're getting the games at the highest quality available, especially during a post-season as crazy as this one has been. There are a lot of factors that go into the video quality you're getting on your devices, even while on your home network, such as how many devices are connected and what those devices are doing simultaneously. Minimizing or reducing other network usage in the home may help ensure you're getting the clearest picture possible. We appreciate your feedback, and are happy to continue assisting if you'd like for us to take a deeper look at your account.

My network traffic can be ZERO other than streaming one channel on Xfinity Streaming and it will still look TERRIBLE. That simply is not the problem at all, if you had considered anything I said you wouldn't suggest it was, your "assistance" is insulting - you think I don't know that?

Xfinity's pre-canned stance is to shift the blame instead of admitting their streaming product is TERRIBLE. You are not "happy to continue assisting" because 1. you would have to assist in the first place to "continue" assisting, and 2. you have no plans to ever assist, or even to admit you know 100% of the problem is that your stream quality is intentionally TERRIBLE.

I'm looking forward to your next completely worthless pre-canned response.

As bad as the streaming quality is, Xfinity's chat support is somehow even worse.

I don't "feel that way" - it is the truth.

You are NOT "here to help" - you have no ability to do anything, you can't even acknowledge the problem.
