Xfinity stream playback error tvapp-00249

Getting this playback error on the stream app on our Apple TV. Spent an hour with an online rep with no resolution.

Thank you for making us aware you're getting this error when using the Stream app on your Apple TV via Forums, @user_wx96jq. Have you by any chance tried removing the app from your devices? How about your software, have you updated it yet?

Yep - I cleared the cache in the app, I removed the app and reinstalled it, I also spent an hour on messaging with a tech who could not help me and an hour on the phone with an xfinity advanced tech who did some sort of advanced refresh, which did not work either. All other streaming applications work perfectly fine and no other wifi issues.
