Xfinity Stream recordings missing

I have two shows on MSNBC that I record every morning.  When I logged in, one was being recorded.  However, the one that should have finished was missing.  When the second one finished, it vanished as well.  The episodes are not even available on demand.  What gives?

If Xfinity Stream recordings are missing, first try syncing your DVR via the X1 remote by pressing the Xfinity button, going to Settings > Device Settings > Sync DVR Now.

If that doesn't work, check your Cloud DVR storage to see if it's full, as older recordings may have been automatically deleted to make space.

First, thank you for your reply.

As the title indicated, this was on Xfinity Stream, so no DVR or X1 remote are involved.  The cloud storage was also not full.  Even if it were, older recordings are always deleted in favor of newer ones unless you have the recordings set to "keep all."  As indicated in the description of the problem, I watched a new recording complete and then vanish.  Also, the episode that vanished was not available on demand.

user_czzqip, Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. As someone who enjoys entertainment on the Stream app myself, I can understand the inconvenience caused by those recordings of your two shows vanishing and not being available on demand. You've come to the right spot. Over social media, we are a team of diligent experts in resolving recording concerns such as this over social media. We can help. What type of device are you using to access the app? I see that you mention no DVR or X1 remote is involved, however, do you have a DVR on the account by chance? When your record the shows every morning, are you attempting to set a one-time Live recording or a Scheduled recording?

Sorry for the late reply.  This issue had resolved itself, so this post slipped through the cracks.  However, the issue has returned.

To be clear, I stream on my PC only, and I only use a browser.  I do not have the app installed, and I do not have either a DVR or an X1 box on the account at all.

The recordings in question are scheduled to record every day, keeping only the most recent recording in the cloud DVR.  My storage is never full.

I have tried, in this order (signing out, deleting all cookies and browser cache, closing and reopening the browser, and signing back in) but this did nothing.  I have also tried multiple browsers.

The DVR does show there are more recordings that I can see.  I can see one recording, but the "meter" shows that I have four, as you can see here:

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I am having the exact same issue, and it started yesterday. There are 3 recordings missing from the DVR, but it shows them in the total and in the % used. Sounds like Xfinity has yet another issue that  is being caused on their side and needs to be resolved.

@user_pdqpui It would seem it was their issue, as this morning all of my recordings miraculously appeared.

I am having the same issue.  I am using the Xfinity app and my recordings have all disappeared
but the system says that I have three recordings taking up 66% of my space.

I am wondering if this is a specific issue of the app or MSNnow

Hello, @user_czzqip thank you for updating the community on this issue. My apologies for the inconvenience. There does seem to be a recent known issue that is affecting DVR Recording in Xfinity Stream. Our engineering team is working hard to discover a resolution and fix this issue.
