Xfinity streaming not working on one of my fire TV’s but other streaming works fine

All streaming work fone

Xfinity is stuck in every channel

sometime a channel works but when I change the channel, it stops again…. Shows the three dots in the middle of the screen like it’s thinking

I’ve unplugged for 10 seconds, 60 seconds, overnight

I’ve uninstalled the app, erased cache, reset tv to factory settings

I’ve erased WiFi and reinstalled

WiFi is fine all over the house , it actually shows strong on this TV

what’s going on!!!!!

@user_y2uigy, Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. As a Fire TV user myself, I can understand how frustrating it is when everything else works perfectly, but Xfinity Stream keeps freezing. Thank you for trying so many resets already; that really helps narrow things down. You've come to the right team. We are a specialized expert team dedicated to resolving Xfinity Stream app concerns over social media. Let’s tackle this together. Are you noticing any issues with other apps on the Fire TV? Have you checked that helpful link provided by @DreamSayerZ? Sometimes Xfinity Stream starts freezing if the Fire device is on an outdated OS version.

  • Go to Settings > My Fire TV > About > Check for Updates
  • Install any available updates
  • Then open the Xfinity Stream app again

Thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community forum to express your concerns.  We'd be happy to assist.

Based on the information you provided you've already done a bit of troubleshooting on your own.

An additional step you can try is as follows - Go into the Fire Stick's settings, then go to preferences, and then privacy settings.  Once there, try turning off Device Usage Data, Collect App Usage, and Interest-Based Adds.  Sometimes when these are active, they can cause just enough degradation in your connection to cause some apps to freeze.  You can turn them all off or just one or two.

This may help resolve the issue you've been having.  Please give it a try and let us know if you need further assistance!
