1% of advertised speed !!!
Whenever I test my upload speed it is almost always a paltry 1Mbps, just 1% of the advertised 100Mbps that I’m paying for. Only rarely I do get 100Mbps for a brief test. This is way too slow for everyday use of Cloud services and file transfers. I’ve heard the same complaint from neighbors.
Download speeds are consistently good, around the 300Mbps available in my Xfinity plan.
In an attempt to solve this problem my local Xfinity store swapped out my existing Xfinity Modem for a new one (XB8-T) and I still have the same problem, I only rarely and intermittently see 100Mbps upload speeds.
I’ve used Xfinity Assistant numerous times via a web browser on my PC, only once did it acknowledge and correct (briefly) the low upload speed problem.
Clearly the physical connection to my home is fine, proven by the consistently good download speeds. I don't think I need a tech to visit my home.
Any ideas on how to get effective help from Xfinity?
Thanks

Hello, @user_1sl7uw
Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a direct message:
1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon near the bell icon. Click the direct message icon
2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)
4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!

The root cause of my upload speed problem was a piece of software called “Killer Intelligence Center” (Intel) that is installed on many computers (such as my Dell) that use an Intel ethernet interface. See the following link for instructions on how to turn off the problematic feature: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/very-slow-upload-speeds-with-pc-using-windows-11/499691b0-d511-4153-986d-04f392df03eb
For more information go to: https://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-11/what-is-the-killer-network-service-in-windows-and-is-it-safe/
This turned out not to be a problem with Xfinity internet service. Thanks to the Xfinity support staff for their help during the troubleshooting process.
