2.4ghz not showing up in networks, cannot use my home security app

Before Sunday I could use my home security app, it stopped Monday morning 2/16.
I tried resetting my security DVR, tried resetting the Xfinity gateway.
I keep getting a "cannot connect, check network connection" from the security app.
Today I noticed the 2.4ghz is no longer shown.
I tried to go into the app as AI suggested and split the bands but the app will not allow me to do so.

Do I have to go buy a router so I can use my $500 security system that worked fine until the other day when my 2.4 network seems to have vanished?

Thank you for reaching out to our team here. If you are still having issues with your network I will be happy to look further into that from here for you. May I ask which modem you are using with your service?

xFi Gateway?

I tried splitting the bands in the app, doing so created an issue where I had to reenter passwords.
Then my phone was on the 5ghz while the security system was trying to use 2.4.

I think Ill just start looking for another internet provider instead of buying and having to reinstall all new cameras all over my home...

Xfinity Gateways give you strong WiFi, fast internet, and easy control of your home network. Older models use two bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). The newest model (XB8) adds a third band (6 GHz) with WiFi 6E for even faster speeds. To learn more, see Overview of Xfinity Gateways.

In the past, people used different WiFi names and passwords for each band. You had to pick which one your device should use, and it wasn’t always clear which was best. Now, Xfinity Gateways use band steering. When you use the same WiFi name and password for all bands, the gateway picks the best one for your device.
