user_pnjznz Thank you so much for reaching out for help with your device connecting to the right Wifi channel. By default, your Wifi channels are combined under one network name, and your modem helps manage where your devices connect automatically. If your device is not locating the correct channel, you may need to split your network to help the device connect. In your Xfinity app in the Wifi Details tile, select Edit Wifi settings at the bottom. Split bands would be the bottom option; toggle that on, and you can name both channels for easy identification.

I wan't able to split the band... updated app, pressed the separate bands button and no luck. I ended up disabling the 5ghz band all together and ALL my devices work. Go to 10.0.0.1 on your browser. Your default log in will be Username: admin Password: Password. Then go to connection on left hand side and WIFI. Click edit on the 5ghz option. Toggle the disable button and save. It took a few tries to get it to stay.
