3d printer needs 2.4 and can’t connect

Has been failing to connect for some time … tried to reset and now can’t connect at all. Why can’t I create a 2.4?

Hi there, @user_piha8v! We have you covered! I have a lot of devices that need the 2.4 GHz network only. The steps at this link get them working without issue in my home, https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/issues-connecting-devices-wifi-network. I have only ever needed the first set of steps:

  1. On a device connected to your gateway, open a browser and go to http://10.0.0.1.
  2. Log in to the Admin Tool.
  3. Select Connection, then Wi-Fi.
  4. Click Edit next to 5 GHz.
  5. Select Disable and click Save Settings.
  6. Connect your smart device using its app (or though the printer interface).
  7. Go back and re-enable the 5 GHz band.

Please let me know if you are able to get the printer connected or have further questions along the way. We want this working for you!

Tried this ….  Printer kept saying password wrong. Only one password ever applied to gateway and should run all networks correct?

@user_piha8v Indeed. Troubleshoot that part in the network settings, and reset it if needed to factory settings in order to start over.

... 2. Log in to the Admin Tool. ...

If you can't access the Admin Tool at 10.0.0.1, see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/admin-tool-access
