Amazon Alexa issues unable to be resolved through Amazon

I am unable to connect my Alexa Dot to my network, in fact it does not appear in a list of networks around me.  I have been trying for days, even bought a new Dot because my old smart plugs didn't work either so I bought new ones.  I bought the ones that have dual bandwidth, and I gotta tell you those were a [Edit: Language] to connect as well.  All of this trouble began after I got the new router that was supposed to make life "so much better"!!  Anyway, I am told by Amazon that maybe Amazon is being blocked and to get ahold of you and ask for the block to be lifted.  I would very much appreciate it!

Hi, user_jxrlgm! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to reach out for assistance with the Alexa Dot not connecting, or showing up. Sites are not normally blocked like Amazon from your service. Have you tried to reset the modem? Are you noticing any issues with other devices aside from the Alexa Dot and your Smart Plugs?
