Anybody else having Xfinity Internet issues?

I have been a Comcast customer for more than 15 years and have never seen the degradation of service I am now experiencing. My internet service had experienced drops and outages after a large rain fall in 2023. Of course, the problem is always my equipment right? Wrong! After several service call visits, it was determined that the connection "node" (down the street from me) was the problem. Once serviced, the internet service was restored without issues.

Two months ago (July 2026), we had another heavy rain across Indiana. My internet began acting up again. I experienced multiple drops and pauses since that time. I was told that they were working on the system and to give them two weeks; call back if the problem was not rectified. Well, the problem persists to this day!!
I have had Technicians out twice. They claim my service is good and acknowledge that they do see a few drops but the signal is strong. However, there is nothing they can do unless they can actually catch it as it happens. Understand that these drops happen randomly, 15 to 20 times throughout the day. Each event lasts from several seconds to more than five minutes!! So it is highly unlikely they are going to catch it in 30 minutes they are here. I once again asked them to check the "node" since the symptoms are the same as those experienced during 2023. Of course, they do not since they  do not "see" the issue.

At their request, I upgraded to the 1gb plan and connected their cable modem. Same issue! The coax has been checked and found to be in great shape (replaced in 2023). So, here I am paying for a new plan with degraded service. They claim I am not being throttled since I am within my limits. So, either their node is still compromised or they have added too many customers to the connection thus messing up bandwidth. Of course, I can't get a straight answer, no actual number or e-mail to communicate with them (crappy AI), and India Service personnel that just take up your time trying to upsell phone service. So, I have to drive to their sales store front to discuss with them. They do not seem motivated at all to help me. I have about had it and am now looking for alternatives!!! Anyone else experiencing this issue?

user_h4shfb Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forums. I’m really sorry to hear about everything you’ve been dealing with. I can certainly understand how frustrating it must be to experience and still not have a lasting solution. I’d like the opportunity to take a closer look and see what options we have available to help. While I can’t imagine how disruptive these intermittent interruptions have been, I know how important it is to have a reliable connection, especially when the issue has been ongoing for this long.

Please send me a Direct message with your full name and service address, and I’ll be happy to review the account, check the notes from previous visits, and see what additional steps may be available.

I’ll do everything I can to help get you pointed in the right direction.
