Boot file problem

Had a tech out at my house to check what was happening to my speeds for internet.  Changed modem ran test, however speeds would drop and on Xbox MSPing would get higher.  Come to find out there was an anomaly that was happening.  He states it is a boot file issue.  How will I know if this gets fixed correctly.

@cmbergez Thanks for adding a post to the forum. Is the issue with the speeds and ping still happening?

cmbergez The technician should have been able to have the bootfile corrected while on site. This is something that we can look at remotely as well. The bootfile is the level of service the modem is provisioned with, if it doesn't match what is ordered on the account that could cause speed issues. But as long as your modem is compatible with your speed tier, it should be good to go.
