Brand New Arris S33v3 Upload Speed at 5Mbps Max. Online Chat is Very Unhelpful

I bought a Brand New Arris S33v3 to replace an xFi.  Right before I switch the device, I tested the upload speed is 100+ Mbs.

Right after I activated S33, the upload speed becomes 5Mbps.  I understand this modem is not on the new improved upload device list.  But 5Mbps is way too low.

In the modem event log, there are errors about config file:

02/06/2025 22:27:17 Critical Config File Rejected due to Invalid or Unexpected TLV 11;CM-MAC=xx; CMTS-MAC=xx; CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;

02/06/2025 22:27:17
Notice TLV-11 - unrecognized OID;CM-MAC=xx ;CMTS-MAC=xx; CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;

I suspect this is a provisioning issue. Online Chat and phone support are very unhelpful.  They kept asking me to unplug / re-plug the cable, power cycle the modem hundreds of times.  Nothing changed!

Can someone please help?  This may be simply a wrong config file.  Can't Xfinity just send me a correct config file?  Could it be that my MAC address was mapped to a different version of S33?

PS The upload power level is way too low according to Arris spec.  Maybe this is the reason of invalid config FIle?

But my cable connections should be all good.  I even switched back to xFi and the speed instantly went back to 100+Mbps.  Then I switched to S33 again and upload speed became 5Mbps. This should prove my connections are fine.

I essentially have the same issue. Thanks to an agent screwing up my account, I had to reactivate my S33 with Comcast. Before I was getting about 850 Mbps download and in the mid to upper 20s Mbps upload. Afterwards, I max out at 711 Mbps down and 6 Mbps up. My upstream bonded channel results look pretty close to yours, a db or two lower. I don't have the exact same messages in the event log, but some "failed" and "UCB Invalid or channel unusable" messages. Chat tech support was pretty useless. The automated trouble shooter I did first gave a message about your equipment doesn't support the tier you're on, or something to that effect.

I activated the Xfinity XB8-T gateway that was sent to me, using it in bridge mode to work with my Flint 2 router that has 2.5 Gbps WAN and LAN ports so that I can set up separate 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz Wireless SSIDs as my previous setup had since so many of my devices only work on 2.4 Ghz band and I didn't want to run into the Xfinity Gateway's issue of auto assigning and potentially running out of connections. It does appear that the provisioning for the higher speed tier doesn't work with the Arris S33. I'm getting 1860 Mbps download (sometimes hitting 1900) and 350 Mbps upload. Even on my iPhone SE, connected to the 5 Ghz SSID I'm getting almost close to 900 Mbps download and the same 350 Mbps upload. At some point I may buy my own "high tier" modem, but I'll use this for now. [Edited: Language] with my Network always gives me the heebie geebies.
