Can I speak to a person??? Can't change router settings.

The Xfinity Assistant is absolutely worthless; it just constantly sends you in a circle and refuses to connect you with an agent. The phone number (1-800-934-6489) is absolutely worthless and refuses to connect you with an agent. And apparently you can only submit tickets if it's related to billing???

I am in my router and I'm trying to make changes to my Wi-Fi settings. Specifically, I need to change the Wi-Fi channel settings and SSIDs, but I get the following message:

Wi-Fi Mode, Security Mode, Channel Selection, Channel Mode, and Channel Bandwidth are being managed automatically to help optimize your home Wi-Fi network and improve Wi-Fi coverage. To edit your Wi-Fi Network Name & Network password, please download the Xfinity xFi app.

I cannot find where in this app where I can change the respective settings, and the page on the website (https://customer.xfinity.com/settings/wifi) doesn't allow me to change what I need.

@XfinityRichard That still doesn't explain how to change SSIDs for each channel. Also, I want to be able to make these changes from my router, but it seems Xfinity has locked down my router? I would like to see how to get me my admin rights back.

Thank you, @user_6ed608 If you have an XB6 or newer. Advanced WiFi settings for gateways with this software enhancement are not visible and cannot be managed from the Admin Tool or Xfinity app. The only modems available that would allow you to make changes would be Xfinity Modems prior to the Xb6. You can use your own router along with the Xfinity Modem and just put your own modem in bridge mode.-Richard
