Can’t setup my WiFi

I just got xfinity self service 2 hours ago and I can’t set up my modem because it keeps saying sorry it didn’t go as planned

Hello @user_sqcw1y, thank you for taking the time to leave a post.  Sorry you’re running into trouble getting your modem set up. I know how frustrating that is, especially when you’ve just signed up and are excited to get everything working.  Is the coax cable connected to a splitter or directly connected to the outlet on the wall?
