Coaxial Cord Not Activated

Hi we just moved into our new home and got our first Xfinity Gateway modem, but it is not working. I have tried every coax cord I could find, around 5+ now and anytime I plug it in it just blinks orange but that’s it. I’ve downloaded the app and such and same issue. I’m curious if there is anything I can do to fix this issue myself as I don’t have a lot of funds at the moment.

On new service installations or new move-ins, you may need to book a tech visit to come out and check to see if the premises are connected to the Comcast feed at the tap on the pole or the pedestal. You'll also need to get the device activated for service once there is a connection to their system. Good luck !

Hey there user_28zdrn. We certainly appreciate the information. Thank you for checking the different coaxial outlets. If none of them display a blinking, green or white light it is possible you do not have an active coax outlet in the home. Do you know when the residence last had Xfinity?
