Coax-to-Fiber Install with own UniFi router - Bridge Mode?
Our HOA convinced Comcast to upgrade from Coax to Fiber in our community over a year ago and I finally have an install date (Sunday morning) scheduled for my property.
I'm an IT professional who 100% manages my own UniFi network and my UCG Max router/firewall is currently connecting directly via my own cable modem (i.e. "bridge mode").
How can I make sure the scheduled installer is prepared for my setup? I'm hearing Xfinity can't (doesn't?) provide an "ONT only" option and I'll probably be given an "all-in-one" fiber gateway that will need to be configured for this, disabling any built-in networking/wifi, etc.? I also hear some of the models (XER10?) don't even currently support bridge mode? I also want to make sure my fiber install is able to support the 2.5GbE WAN throughput my gateway is capable of.

If you do get the XER10, here is some info about putting it into a DMZ as a workaround for avoiding double NAT issues so that you can use your own firewall appliance;

Hey there, @nelsva, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your installation. Were you able to get all of your installation concerns resolved? Do you still have any questions regarding the setup?
