Completely unusable internet due to Intermittent Personal Outages for 4 Months
I have been experiencing a progressive decline in internet connectivity since "network upgrades" were performed in my area in May 2026, to the point that my internet loses connectivity every 1-2 minutes for 30 seconds to 2 minutes. I have had 3 service techs come to my property that have replaced everything from the telephone pole to the gateway (including the gateway twice). I have attempted multiple times to have Comcast send a network/line technician out to determine the issue at the network node, but they never send anyone except for the regular home technician and/or cancel my appointment without telling me. This has been an incredibly frustrating process. Does anyone know if these issues will persist if I change my internet service provider from Comcast, as in, has the work they have performed in my area permanently damaged the network service to my residence?

After many visits from service techs and line techs, many of whom blamed my home, Atlantic City Electric, and stated there actually wasn't any issue, they moved my line off of the network fed from a nearby neighborhood and onto the network that my home used to be served off of (up the road and away from the noted neighborhood) and that fixed everything. I saw them install the node/box that feeds the neighborhood across the street and that was when they switched my line over to that node/box. Happy to have this resolved, though I am annoyed with Xifinty charging me during this entire ordeal and finding any reason not to put things back to how they were before they performed "network upgrades" in my area.

Multiple techs have been out since this post. The latest tech informed me there was an upstream network issue causing interruptions. No remedy has as of yet been performed. Unfortunately, since Comcast dominates the cable network in my area and no fiber optic lines are available, I will just be stuck with unusable internet until Comcast finally resolves this issue, which seems incredibly unlikely. Very disappointed with Comcast after more than a decade of using their internet service. They have tried to get me to sign up for cell phone or cable services while not even addressing the only issue I need resolved.
