Connection is not private error

I just swapped my Xfinity modem with my ARRIS SBG6950AC2 modem which I previously used with Xfinity without any issues. Now I'm completely unable to connect to web pages and getting errors left and right in an endless loop of redirection to set up my account through the Xfinity app. How the heck do I fix this problem??

Simply plugging in a new device won't guarantee it to work as it would still need to complete the activation process. Please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to get started.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message.
