Detroit Area Xfinity Internet is horrible

I've been using Xfinity Internet for almost 2 years now because it's the only provider that services my building and it's been horrible it was much worse last year with outages happening constantly and they were constantly coming out and doing work and it didn't seem to do much. finally they stopped happening so frequently but they still happen and they just raise your speed for free hoping that it'll make it all okay but it's totally useless to have faster speed if you can't even access your internet consistently. Clearly Xfinity has zero idea why the internet is so bad which is pretty sad and the fact that my mobile data is far more reliable than their wired internet tells you everything you need to know lol It's so bad I would gladly switch someone else if I could but I'm forced to deal with this horrendous company. And I see all these ads all around the city about how their connection is so great and fast blah blah blah it's horrible. The fact that I see that stuff around just infuriates me even more because it's such a blatant lie right in your face. I don't know how it is in other cities and other states but I never had issues like this when I was living somewhere else and only when I was in the Detroit area suddenly it's horrendous internet. But here have some faster speed for free on us that'll make it all okay 😇  oh and btw try restarting your modem I know that we've told you to do this about 1000 times already but who knows maybe 1001 times is what will make it all work suddenly. :))

Good afternoon Vfb1893. I can assure you this is not the experience we want you to have. We want to make sure your service is working as it should and reliably. I would be more than happy to look into this further for you. I would need some additional information from you.

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send it.
