Does this mean I’m getting x-class soon?

Hi got I got this email a couple of days ago I was wondering if this mean that x-class internet will be coming to my area is so is there a way that someone here can look into the time line for me and when can I upgrade to the new service thanks And if I would need to a new modem currently I have the xb8.  Thanks

                                Thanks for reaching out to us, If you're already in our next generation speed area where you're getting at least 100Mbps of upload, then that notification does mean you're moving to the symmetrical speeds.

 

The best way to check to see if your area has been upgraded to the symmetrical speeds is just to go to the Xfinity broadband label and put in your address. https://www.xfinity.com/broadband-labels

 

Once all the work's been completed, the website will list the options for symmetrical speeds and then you could just log into your account and select a new plan or reach out to us on one of our many platforms.

ok I do have 1gig/100 is there a typical time after they finish the work to when I’ll be able to order it xfinity has been working on for the last week now.

Sadly no. The moment we quote you a timeframe, something will come up to completely change it. Our best advice for now is to continue being as patient as you have been, and you are always welcome to reach out to us here if you need. As soon as the work is done, you will be notified, either by email again, or through the Xfinity app.
