Dropping Packets in Peak Hours (mostly)
I'm dropping upload packets after 6pm.. Download is mostly fine.. Downloading a file no problem... uploading a file will fail, also in a voice call i can hear others perfectly, but everyone complains i'm cutting in an out and voice is distorted. I've had this issue a few years ago, and it took a few weeks to resolve, i had like 6 techs come out to take a look at the issue, and they tried their usual stuff, replacing filter, replacing random coax, rewiring from their box to the house, etc. etc.... (the hours they come there usually isn't a problem, problem starts at like 6pm and lasts all night).. they will claim it will be fixed, and it never was.. until one tech came by and looked at his tablet, and said "oh.. yea.. there's a node down the street that has a ton of errors on it.. i'll schedule a level 1 (bad memory here, don't really remember exactly what he said) tech to come out and fix it... It worked.. more or less flawlessly for a few years, but over the weekend it started again.
My question mostly is.. how do i get this issue fixed without having to call comcast.. sit through 30 minutes of them resetting my modem, talking to a guy while he "boosts" my signal, then tells me it might take 30 minutes for it to stop dropping packets.. to have to call back and go through 30 more minutes of speaking with someone for them to schedule someone to come take a look.. with a good chance that tech doesn't really know anything, and just replaces some coax... then i have to start it all over again.. last time i spent countless hours talking/working with comcast, for a tech to be like "oh yea, the problem is obvious".. How do i get that guy, how do i get this fixed efficiently?
