EPON Service Using Customer Owned Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro

I had a tech here recently and removed the Xfinity gateway.  I'm now connected directly from the EPON unit to my Dream Machine Pro.  The ongoing problem is my connection is not stable.  Cn someone please help?  I did notice @XfinityJosephA  was able to help someone recently, but the message thread didn't contain insturctions.

Thank you for posting on our community forums, user_qv6ktu. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing connection stability issues. Since you're now connected directly from the EPON ONU to your Dream Machine Pro, let's gather a bit more information to help narrow down the cause. If you haven't already, could you please try the following:

Restart both the EPON unit and your Dream Machine Pro, allowing the EPON unit to fully come online before reconnecting the router.

Check whether the issue affects both wired and wireless devices. If possible, test a device connected directly to the Dream Machine Pro via Ethernet.

Note whether the connection drops completely or if you're seeing intermittent latency, packet loss, buffering, or slow speeds.

If available, temporarily connect a computer directly to the EPON unit and test the connection. This can help determine whether the issue is occurring before or after the router.

Let us know if that helps.
