Error 7 with XB8 Gateway and Xi6 TV Box + Coax Cable TV Box - Propoer Setup
Hello,
I have been reading conflicting reports online that the best way to setup a erro 7 mesh network is to place the XB8 Gateway in Bridge Mode. Then I read how by doing that it will not allow the Xi6 wifi cable tv box to work properly or tie to the DVR properly. I do have a hardwired coax cable TV box too which I assume would be no issue (I do hate to assume).
What is the technically correct way to setup my network up so the erro 7 mesh network works best? My plan was to keep the same network name and password on the eeor 7 network so all my devices connect seamlessly, at least that was the hope. Please share any thoughts or experiences you encountered.
Thank you!

I just wanted to let you all know I connected the Erro 7 Pro to my Xfinity XB8 Gateway by placing it in Bridge Mode and following the Erro app online setup instructions. It all worked well and very easy. My Xi6 wireless TV boxes seem to be working well too. One thing I did do was to keep my network name and password the same from the Xfinity Gateway to the Erro 7 Pro. Not sure if this made a difference other than, I was able to have all my devices connect automatically.

@user_6bejmb I definitely understand wanting to make sure that you set up your Eero 7 correctly. The Xi6 should still work fine according to the FAQs for the wireless boxes. In the past the cable boxes did not have the capability to work with customer owned modems and an Xfinity modem was a requirement. You will need to place the modem in bridge mode to connect the Eero 7. Please let us know if you run into any issues, we're here to help. :)
