Ethernet to x1 internet tower

Is Xfinity moving to Ethernet from coaxial cables?  We are remodeling and I have an av person wiring the interior but I don’t know if I should keep both.

I have wireless tv boxes but the dies your modem use Ethernet?

Good day user_m0bkl8 👋 Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us in our community and congrats on the home remodel that's pretty exiting! When it comes to our internet gateways, they're all going to rely on a coaxial connection to provide the main signal its set to transmit through Wi-Fi.

Ethernet specifically is what you would use if you want to provide a streamlined wired connection to any device that has a required Ethernet port. Connecting devices through Ethernet will provide you with the most stable and consistent connection as it doesn't have to deal with the same connection variables a wireless connection does 👍 Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
