Experiencing major Packet loss within games but undetectable on packet loss detectors and Pc connection test
I am experiencing universal packet loss in online games. I have verified my local network is perfect on a wired Cat 6 line. A pathping reveals consistent, real packet loss starting at Comcast routing hop 4 and reoccurring between hops 6 and 7. This indicates node congestion or a routing issue on the Comcast back-end network. I need this escalated to network engineering for a line/node audit.
Following up on my diagnostics: the packet loss initiates at the local La Marque, TX hub (Hop 4) and reoccurs further up the state backbone at the Bear Creek and Dallas, TX routing gateways (Hops 6–7). Because the loss is sustained across multiple Texas infrastructure nodes, this is a regional routing/backbone issue. Please escalate this directly to the Texas regional network engineering team.
