Fiber Modem

Are there any plans to have a modem that has multiple 2.5GB Ethernet ports, so that customers can get the full bandwidth of the 1.1, 1.2, and 2Gbps fiber EPON speeds ?

Hello @user_1f8wwk. Thank you for reaching out on our Community Forum. Do you currently have fiber service at your address? Or our x-class service?

@user_1f8wwk We haven't been made aware about a modem capable of having multiple 2.5GB ethernet ports, yet. I'm sure we'll make a big announcement if/when we do.

Thank you for the response. However the XER10 has definitely been made public by Comcast, but the formal announcement such as the XB10 received in March has yet to occur. Although it is not in the field for consumers, yet, it is the EPON (FTTH) version of the XB10, from what I gather. Hopefully it will be available in the coming months for folks like the OP.

Got it! user_323c89. We don't see any details on it yet, but thanks for clarifying! I'm sure we'll add it to the article along with the specifications once the device fully launches.
