Gateway not activating

Blinking orange light forever on the gateway no matter where I plug it in. Someone definitely needs to come hook up the external service. Posting here because, like a typical [Edited: "Language"] large business, Xfinity hides their customer service number and makes you jump through 1000 hoops and talk to AI before giving you basic service.
