Guilded app images blocked?

I use the chat app Guilded and recently my xfinity wifi seems to be blocking access to its image server so I can only see images on the app if I turn wifi off on my phone or use another wifi. Is there some way I can change the settings so it doesn't block the images?

Sometimes sites / servers get blacklisted when they shouldn't be. As a possible temporary workaround, you could try disabling their Advanced Security feature and see;

Hi there @c33j. I am sorry to hear that images from the Guilded App are being block. You are in the right place and I am happy to assist you today. Are you experiencingthis with other devices?

I'm experiencing this problem on all devices when using my xfinity wifi connection. I went into the advanced security settings and tried to allow connections to that address but it didn't work. I also submitted a request to unblock the image server address but that hasn't changed either. Is there anything else I can do other than turn off advanced security entirely?

@c33j

Did you get a chance to try that workaround / test ?

I didn't turn off the advanced security setting but I did try to go in and allow connections to the image server. That didn't seem to work, though. I also submitted a request to xfinity to unblock that address but nothing has changed from that either. I'd rather not have to turn off advanced security entirely.

Trying it for a minute is the only way to know for sure if it is the cause. It's completely safe to do ! If it is the cause, I will share the method of reporting it.

@EG OK, I turned it off and the images loaded, so that seemed to be the problem.

@EG Hi. So the advanced security was the cause of the problem. What do I do now?
