How can I change my home WiFi network from 2.4 ghz to 5?
I think there is a discrepancy between my Google Wifi setup and the Xfinity router setup that is causing latency and for the connection to drop.
Thanks-

Thank you for reaching out. I hope you are having a great day so far :) I see you need to split your Wi-Fi into a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band. If you currently use the same network name and password, you'll create what is called band steering, which you can read about here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/benefits-same-wifi-network-password-name-xfi-gateway.
The benefit of this is that the network will determine the best connection for your device, depending on your location from the Gateway or the number of devices that may be on any given band. Howver, I know at times you may need it "split" for smaller devices.
To do this, you can simply rename your 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks to have two unique names. For example. Bob2 and Bob5, and use a different password if needed. Have you already given this a try?
