How can you connect a Nintendo wii to a modern xfinity router?

According to Nintendo’s website “The Wii console only supports the 2.4GHz Wireless Band.” and “supports the 802.11g and 802.11b wireless formats If the router is using a 802.11n only mode, you will need to change this setting to allow the Wii to connect to your home network.” The current xfinity routers do not support this connection and as far as I can tell will not let you make this change that is needed to get a Nintendo Wii connected to a modern xfinity router. Are there any work around to this? Or do I just need to have a different internet provider to use a Wii?

I have come to the conclusion that you in fact can not. An xfinity employee actually told me to buy another router that supports the wii lmao good luck if you're having this issue.
