How do i manually add the MAC address of my printer to the list of permitted devices for my new wireless router???
I have an HP printer that is unable to connect to my wireless router. How do I enter this or have someone from xfinity enter this so I can use my printer again? This seems like a really unreasonable amount of hoops to jump through to get my printer recognized!! Very frustrated that there is no direct phone number to contact someone for help, need this problem fixed immediately!!!

Hello user_si92yr. Thanks so much for reaching out to us here on our Xfinity Forums for help with adding the printer to your home network. I'm sorry that you have been having trouble with adding the printer as well as having trouble with reaching someone for assistance. I know it is frustrating when you need something done quickly. I have had trouble with my printer connecting to my home network as well, and I always have to start at the beginning since we hardly need to use it. I always refer to our support site at https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/connect-wireless-devices-third-party-router. I would love to help out!
Usually there's an option in the setup menu of the wireless printer to select and connect to a network. Does your printer have this option listed in the menu or is there an app for the printer to manage its network settings?
Typically the only reason you would need to add your MAC address to your router settings is if you have MAC filtering enabled which would only allow the devices with MAC addresses that you added to the network settings to access the home network. Are you utilizing MAC filtering with your home network?
@EG Thanks for moving the post over to the correct support area!
