I have a new Hitron CODA56 modem and am only getting 50 mbps upload

I recently activated a new (customer owned) Hitron CODA56 modem on my Xfinity "next gen" service (1GBps DL/100mbps upload).  The router was activated and provisioned successfully and my upload speeds did increase to 50mbps from ~40mbps previously, but not the full speed I am expecting for this service. The Next Gen service is available in my area.  My research leads me to believe that my router hasn't been provisioned with the correct upload profile.

Is someone able to assist? I tried the AI assistant but was unable to get any success.

rwdend Thanks for creating a post. Our team can certainly send a provisioningsignal to make sure the modem is registering the correct bootfile. You can also use the Xfinity app to run diagnostics and check the bootfile as well. Please send our team a direct message with your full name and address.

To send a Direct Message:

Ensure you are logged in

  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
    • As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
    • An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it.

@XfinityThomasD I had an Xfinity Tech out and he confirmed that I had the correct firmware and provisioning, however, my area -though listed as ready for Next Gen - wasn't quite there yet.  That said, based on his checks, as soon as the amps are ready, I'll start getting the correct service.
